Nothing evokes more concern than hearing that, “You have cancer,” from your physician. Unfortunately, our toxic environment causes 12.7 million people to hear those very words, and some are curious about the cannabis oil benefits they have heard about online.

For most people, thoughts of their families and friends immediately come to mind. For others, the first images that flash into view include pictures of thin, weakened bodies that have been battered by traditional chemotherapy.

At times, fear can overtake even the best of us.

Today, however, we have more available options than ever when it comes to dealing with cancer.

Full spectrum Hemp extract, or cannabidiol (CBD) oil, is a natural oil extracted from the Cannabis Sativa plant that is legally classified as hemp. The correct CBD oil cancer serving can be extremely beneficial for cancer patients.

Cannabis oil benefits include mitigating the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

Also, there are those who eschew traditional treatments and opt solely for natural remedies. And CBD can be an effective and potent weapon in their arsenal.

How CBD Oil Helps Cancer Patients

For cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments, CBD can reduce or alleviate pain, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite.

CBD can alleviate the unpleasant side effects of those treatments.

Combat Nausea From Chemotherapy

2014 Israeli study found that the use of cannabis, specifically the Cannabis sativa L. strain, resulted in decreased nausea in cancer patients with most reporting up to a 50% change in nausea levels during the first six months with an additional 43% at the year mark.

Side effects were minimal and mild, primarily consisting of fatigue and dizziness. However, these side effects may be preferable to the persistent discomfort and nausea typically induced by chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

While most patients in the Israeli study administered cannabis through smoking, 8.7% used alternative methods of ingestion which also resulted in a significant reduction in nausea.

This leads us to believe that it is possible to reduce nausea with a high CBD content extract taken orally.

Increase Appetite

The same Israeli study found that cancer patients who used cannabis with a high concentration of CBD noticed a 47.8% increase in appetite during a six month period and 52% within a year.

Most patients even began feeling more of an appetite after the first month of administration. This is significant as most cancer treatments result in a loss of appetite which is counterproductive in regards to overall well being.

Using a CBD extract can help with regaining appetite as well as gaining weight.

Safety and Side Effects of CBD Oil

Studies show that hemp oil is safe and non-toxic for both people and animals. A 2011 study showed that CBD was non-toxic to normal cells.

The study demonstrated that CBD does not change a person’s heart rate, blood pressure, or body temperature.

It does not affect gastrointestinal transit, and it does not change a person’s psychomotor or psychological functions.

The most common side effects reported by people in a German study of patients using cannabinoids were tiredness and dry mouth.

It is not addictive, and there are no reports of withdrawal symptoms when people stop taking it.

Pharmaceutical scientists refer to a number called LD50 in safety studies. LD50 is the amount of a substance at which 50% of the people or animals taking it die. For humans, the LD50 of CBD has not been tested. In rhesus monkeys, around 212 mg/kg CBD was injected. An average monkey weighs 5kg, meaning 1000mg was directly administered with negative health effects.

An average human weighs about 75kg (165lbs), so one would have to inject a huge amount, approximately 15,000mg, to possibly replicate those harmful effects. Most people take anywhere from 3mg to 100 mg per day, with high use cases being around 800-1200mg per day, being ingested normally through the digestive tract or inhalation.

What is the Optimum CBD Oil Cancer Serving?

Since physicians do not usually prescribe CBD, and you don’t just go to the pharmacy and get a set dosage, you might wonder how much to take.

There is a lot of variety when it comes to purchasing Hemp Oil.

You need to consider the purity, the method of extraction, what form you take it in, and how much of the active ingredient you get. These can vary widely with different formulae and different manufacturers.

Some proponents advocate treating cancer with CBD who have come up with their own protocols. We always recommend you speaking with your physician to determine if supplementing with CBD is right for you.

Rick Simpson is a popular author who advocates taking 300 mg three times a day, although he instructs people to start with a low serving and work up to that amount over a 30-day period. He also advocates for full spectrum cannabis extracts, and some of those who follow his work believe that only THC has potential health benefits, which is definitely partially true.

How much is right for you is a matter of personal choice. Always start with a low amount, see how it affects you, and gradually increase it.

Project CBD provides some helpful guidelines when choosing your serving size, and they advise you not to overdo it when taking CBD, because often, “less is more.”

You can opt to reach out to other people who have used CBD while fighting cancer and speak with them directly about their experiences and sizes.

Personal accounts of self-treatment with CBD hemp oil abound online. However, it’s important to remember that every person and every case is different. But talking with others can help you as you make your own decisions, and many support groups exist to share their input.

Hemp CBD oil is a non-toxic, natural substance that can help cancer patients in many ways. It is a great addition to any treatment plan, whether you opt for traditional treatments or alternative ones.
