Oh no, it’s that time of the month again! Cramps (primary or secondary dysmenorrhea), bloating, ravishing appetite, and mood swings. Oh boy, let the “fun” begin — NOT! This is not something that any woman looks forward to… and of course, a woman’s period always seems to start at the most inopportune time. It’s part of Murphy’s law that anything that can go wrong will indeed go wrong!
Some Neat Products In The Marketplace
According to an article in the July 2016 issue of Woman’s Day Magazine, there is a new product on the market called “Foria Relief” which is also dubbed, “The Weed Tampon.” The ingredients are carbon dioxide extracted cannabis oil, organic cocoa butter, and a cannabidiol (CBD) isolate. Each suppository contains 10mg of CBD and 60mg of THC. Please note that there is not enough THC to get a woman really high but does contain more than trace amounts of THC, unlike the CBD oils we sell which have virtually no THC. A few reviewers of Foria Relief do report feeling a “buzz.”
These THC/CBD oil suppositories are intended to make direct contact with affected areas and reduce, or even stop completely, the discomfort of a bad period cycle so many woman dread on a monthly basis. Will it be a bad month or a good month? Even on good months, many women experience so much pain and mood swings that they’d rather hide from the world for a day or two (at least), if at all possible. CBD oil can activate a woman’s cannabinoid receptors in her pelvic region, thereby reducing, or even eliminating, the uncomfortable feelings in her vagina, cervix, uterus, and ovaries — at least that’s what has been reported by many happy relieved women who try it.
Simple CBD Oil Suppository Recipe
1 to 1½ tablespoon cocoa butter
10mg CBD (from full spectrum CBD drops, filtered extracts, isolate, etc)
In a double boiler, or a heat proof mixing bowl over a pot of hot/boiling water, melt the cocoa butter. Once melted, remove from the heat.
Add CBD and mix, preferably with a glass stirrer. Then pour into molds. Cover, and place into the refrigerator until solidified. Store in cool, dark place. Use as needed.
Do seek proper medical advice before you start any new supplement or program.
An alternative and simple method though could be to apply some CBD oil to the end of a tampon and insert it as you normally would to control flow. You may only need to do this once every day or two during your period because the local effect is very long lasting.
Perhaps A Suppository Isn’t For You
No worries! We all have our preferences, and this might not be one of them.
Vaping, using drops below the tongue, or taking capsules can also help alleviate the mood swings, inflammation, and other symptoms associated with a woman’s period. In this way, you really don’t need to buy a separate product for using CBD oil to help ease menstrual symptoms.
Cinnamon Can Be Of Great Help
The bark of the cinnamon tree has been a highly coveted spice for thousands of years. There are some unique compounds that are found within the bark that provide this spice’s healing capabilities: cinnamaldehyde, cinnamlyl alcohol, and cinnamyl acetate. These awesome components help regulate the body’s blood sugar levels, fights pathogens, and prevents blood from clotting, which is a large factor in the pain associated with cramps.
Cinnamon also contains healthy levels of manganese, iron, dietary fiber, and calcium, all of which have shown to help boost your own immune system.
Mary’s Nutritionals The Remedy is a highly concentrated CBD solution, and is crafted with cinnamon oil as well as cinnamon leaf oils, proving they are a great selection.
Full Spectrum Is Ideal
Although the Foria Relief product contains THC, you do not need THC in order to activate cannabinoid receptors in your pelvic region. In fact, the full spectrum CBD oils we sell contain several other cannabinoids, as well as terpenes, that will work synergistically to help you eliminate these monthly symptoms with absolutely no psychotropic effect whatsoever. This way, you can continue working, driving, or doing whatever other activity you want.
This is not only good news for women’s health but for men too. Most men hate seeing their female loved ones suffer through painful menstrual cramps and not be able to offer much help. Most men are by nature problem solvers after all and they usually have a natural urge to help solve the problem. Now, there is a natural solution men can suggest to their partner. Use CBD oil to soothe menstrual cramps and other symptoms associated with a woman’s period like bloating and irritability.
