Each Happy Buddha Hemp product begins with a happy hemp plant raised at one of our picturesque farms in Paonia, Colorado. Our crops are lovingly grown in a pristine mile-high region without the use of chemicals, chemical fertilizers, or any form of genetic engineering.
THE STORY
In 2011, Kate and DJ met on a 40-acre naked hippie commune in western Colorado’s North Fork Valley where residents focused on growing organic foods, living off the land, and supporting each other in work and life. The two were called there because they both wanted to learn to produce their own food with the aim of living a cleaner, healthier lifestyle. We all know it’s easy to fall in love when you’re sporting your birthday suit and DJ and Kate soon did! The two moved off the commune but continued to develop their organic farming lifestyle. Eventually, their passion and knowledge aligned with the valley’s ideal agricultural climate, inspiring them to serve the world by starting their own organic hemp farm, thus creating Happy Buddha Hemp.
